***NEWS FLASH***
The opinion of this writer is that this event was a waste!
The day was not a total loss, I hooked up with Buzz and O'Eighter and we headed out taking every back road between Bakersfield and Paso Robles. In Paso we hooked up with another group of riders coming in from Fresno.

This picture was taken to show the fruit on the almond tree's, the limbs are practically hitting the ground. Got the O'Eighter fixing his hair...notWe stopped here at Jack Ranch Cafe and had breakfast. There is a Memorial in tribute of James Dean who was killed in a car wreck near here September 30th 1955.The James Dean Memorial is made of stainless steel, and aluminum alloy, and is wrapped around an Oleantheum tree. It is surrounded by a rock garden, and all the rocks therein come from Japan, handwashed and handpolished. The rock garden is surrounded by plaques bearing quotes from Elia Kazan- Director of East of Eden, Antoine De Saint-Exupery's Little Prince, the poet Lord Byron,Dean's former drama teacher Adeline Nall, Dean's favorite authors and Dean Himself. The monument is in the parking lot of the Jack Ranch Cafe. The actual crash site is a half mile east on highway 46, and 200 yards to the west, in the middle of a farm field. The intersection was realigned when the highway was repaved and renumbered back in 1973.We finally made it to the fair groundsThis is a pictures inside the fair grounds. There was plenty of shade and places to sit.Michele Smith, host of Speed Channel's "American Thunder"This bike caught my eye, it was entered in the bike showCheck out the exhaust just below the fender, two into one.
Another bike that caught my eye, look particularly at the front suspension.
