I left Kearney, Nebraska this morning with the sky's looking ominousI was lucky today and skirted around most of the rainI stopped to gas up and just for the heck of it I looked at the rear tire, this tire had less than 1000 miles on it when I left on this trip. To my surprise it was more than bald, I could almost see the air inside it! So to give myself peace of mind I stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming and had a new tire installed. This Harley dealership was a combination of a Honda, Harley, Polaris and what ever else they use in the outback. Now , I don't think this thing would get a flat! After I got the tire installed I rode another hour into Laramie, Wyoming. This is the view out my motel window.

Hi Honey,
You are getting closer to HOME!!!!!! Can't wait to see you! Glad you got a new tire on your bike because you are going to hit 105 in Las Vegas. Be safe and I love you lots!

Hey Leo what brand of tire was that I want to avoid buying?
Glad you caught them before a blow out, I've ridden them with the cord showing before. But that will give ya ulcers!!
Please give me a call when you get back and have some time to chat...
Lumpster,
Your tires are the same tires I bought online. I only got about 6,000 miles or less out of mine, so I'm not surprised you went through yours on the trip.
I imagine it's all about getting home now? Once you get near places you've ridden before it's almost like the trip is over.
Riding or driving through Las Vegas just plain sucks! Watch out for the weekenders headed south.

You don't see too many of those snow machines in this part of the country! Like I said before, a good part of the west is desert.
Midwesterners just don't understand this type of beauty!
